Certification to Bottlers of Alcoholic Beverages containing Tequila

Alcoholic Beverages containing Tequila, under NMX -049-V-NORMEX in effect, can be bottled in plants different from a Certified Producer.

     Bottlers’ certification as per NMX -049-V-NORMEX in effect is granted to any individual or corporation who, among other activities, is focused to bottling of Alcoholic Beverages containing  Tequila and has facilities needed for those activities.

     Said bottlers may not purchase Tequila as raw material. It is allowed only bottling and diluting product to get commercial alcoholic content of:

-    Tequila Liquor or in Tequila

-    Liquor with Tequila

-    Tequila Cream or in Tequila

-    Cream with Tequila

-    Tequila Cocktail or in Tequila

-    Cocktail with Tequila

-    Tequila Alcoholic Beverages prepared from or with Tequila

-    Alcoholic Beverage prepared with Tequila

Requirements:

• Submit the Co-responsibility Agreement for Products with Tequila ¹ to be held by the Authorized Producer² and authorized by IMPI. 
• The company’s articles of incorporation specifying the name of its main directors and its legal representative¹.
• A copy of the Taxpayer’s Federal Registry¹.
• A copy of the document accrediting total possession on premises in effect for one year at least (deeds, leasing agreement, bailment contract or a writing from the common land council, etc.)
• Services Rendering Application and Customer’s Obligations (Form provided by CRT).
• Dictamination Questionnaire (Form provided by CRT).
• Verification Services Application (Form provided by CRT).
• Trademark to be certified.

¹   It does not apply on Authorized Producers.

² Authorized Producer: Individual or corporation having authorization granted by DGN and IMPI, as per respective capabilities to produce Tequila within its facilities. Said facilities must be located within the territory as stated in the Declaration. Said authorization is subjected to conformance with provisions as set forth by this NOM and other applicable rules. Item 4.30, NOM-006-SCFI-2005, Alcoholic Beverages -Tequila-Specifications.

As soon as above mentioned documentation is delivered, CRT’s personnel will be visiting the bottling facilities and a document stating that bottling standards were met. 

Above mentioned documents shall be submitted at the CRT offices located in Ave. Patria 723, Col. Jardines de Guadalupe CP.45030, Zapopan Jalisco, México
