By vote, the Tequila Regulatory Council, A.C. was ratified as the Representative of the Board of Associations of the Jalisco Business Alliance for Climate.

Zapopan, Jalisco, on February 9, 2024. By majority vote, the Tequila Regulatory Council, A.C. (TRC) was again elected as the Representative of the Board of Associations of the Business Alliance for Climate in Jalisco. With this, it will continue to be the main link between the board it represents and the Executive Committee of the Alliance.

The Business Alliance for Climate aims to ensure that the business sector in Jalisco, in collaboration with the State Government, establishes commitments to move towards a more competitive, low-carbon economy. Through this, its members obtain relevant information about challenges, needs, and advances in environmental matters.

Since 2023, the TRC, actively addressing sustainability issues, requested to join the Business Alliance for Climate, which is currently made up of the Secretariat of Economic Development (SEDECO), the Ministry of Environment and Territorial Development (SEMADET), 112 companies, and 34 Associations and Chambers in the state of Jalisco.

The Tequila Regulatory Council will continue to represent the priorities and vision of all chambers and associations in the meetings of the Executive Council. It will also participate in discussions and decision-making on relevant policies and topics and will communicate and promote the decisions adopted by all associations and chambers.

It will also be in charge of creating and facilitating participatory spaces in collaboration with members and secretariats to encourage the participation of all parties involved, and it will establish a joint work agenda.

The Business Alliance for Climate in Jalisco was created in 2021 to increase the competitiveness of Jalisco companies in a national and international market that increasingly demands greater traceability of their actions and value chains from the business sector.
