Alcázar de San Juan, Spain on November 8, 2024.- The Tequila Regulatory Council A.C. (TRC), and the Regulatory Council of the Appellation of Origin of Wines of La Mancha, signed a collaboration agreement based on the exchange of knowledge, mutual protection and defense of the values ​​that both Appellations of Origin represent.

“This agreement will facilitate the exchange of experiences, best practices, and critical information for the protection of our Appellations of origin in international markets. Ensuring that products under our respective appellations of origin meet the highest quality standards is paramount. By sharing knowledge, we not only strengthen our institutions but also guarantee that consumers receive authentic, high-quality, and safe products,” stated Miguel Ángel Domínguez Morales, President of the TRC.Appellation

In 2023, a delegation from the Tequila Regulatory Council visited the facilities of the La Mancha Wine Regulatory Council. This valuable exchange facilitated the development of this agreement, transforming a technical visit into an alliance that will strengthen both Tequila and La Mancha Wines. During his speech, Carlos David Bonilla Merchante, President of the Regulatory Council of the Wines of La Mancha Appellation of Origin, emphasized the importance of collaborating with a distinctive Mexican product like Tequila. ‘This collaboration agreement will be instrumental in our mutual growth and development in the coming months and years,’ he stated.

Also present at the event were the manager of the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin of Wines of La Mancha, Ángel Ortega Castañeda, and the Director General of the Tequila Regulatory Council, Ramón González Figueroa.
