The agroservices of the Tequila Regulatory Council are dedicated to the support, guidance and inspection of the agricultural sector, with the objective of improving productivity and efficiency in the field of production of Agave tequilana Weber blue variety, within the framework of the NOM of Tequila and adhering to a vision of sustainability.

AGAVE TRANSFER PASSPORT

The Agave Movement Passport is a document issued by the Tequila Regulatory Council (TRC). This document is mandatory for the transportation of agave plants, as part of the traceability of origin for use in the production of Tequila. The passport is essential for the movement of agave between different agave growing areas and its reception at authorized facilities to produce this beverage. This maintains regulation in the agave supply chain, in accordance with the guidelines established by the Mexican Official Standard.

Users:

Authorized agave producers or companies with agave.

Document to be obtained:

Passport for the transfer of agave.

Validity of the document:

One for each truckload of agave to be harvested.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. The producer and/or company with agave and registered with the Tequila Regulatory Council (Consejo Regulador del Tequila) should go to the TRC offices to request the Agave Transfer Passport.
  2. The office assistant corroborates in the field program the existence, age and balance of plants of the property to be harvested.
  3. If the producer has a balance and age of plants, the Passport is filled out.
  4. If the producer has no harvested agave, the transfer passport is denied.
  5. If item 3 is complied with, the office assistant with the producer's record (II-B) will complete section I: Data of the owner of the agave tequilana, of the agave transfer passport. The data for item I are:
    1. Name of the owner
    2. Address
    3. Municipality
    4. Producer's registration
  6. Section II: Farm data of the Agave Transfer Passport must be filled in with the registration of the farm. The data in this item II are as follows:
    1. Name of the farm
    2. Municipality
    3. Locality
    4. Registration of the property
    5. Year of plantation
  7. Section II: Data of the buyer of the agave tequilana Weber blue variety, of the Agave Transfer Passport, must be filled in with the name of the buyer company. The data in item III are:
    1. Name of the company
    2. Address
    3. Municipality
  8. To fill out section IV: Truck data, of the Agave Transfer Passport, the agave producer must provide the following data:
    1. Truck license plates
    2. Truck make
    3. Truck model
  9. In addition to the 4 sections mentioned in points 5, 6, 7 and 8 of this procedure, the Passport consists of:
    1. A folio (consecutive number)
    2. Date of delivery (automatic data from the system)
    3. Date of expiration (it is valid for 10 days)
    4. Place where the Passport is issued (Guadalajara, Tequila, Arandas, Tepatitlán de Morelos, Atotonilco el Alto and Pénjamo)
    5. Signature of the person issuing the Passport (office manager)
  10. The Agave Transportation Passport will have all the necessary security measures, and a Passport will be issued for each truckload of agave to be shipped.
  11. Once completed and printed, the Agave Transportation Passport will be delivered to the applicant, and a backup will be stored on the TRC server.
  12. The agave producer and/or transporter will present the Agave Transfer Passport together with the Agave Owner's Card at the agave reception of the factory.
  13. The person responsible for receiving the agave at each plant must request the Agave Transfer Passport to be able to discount the harvest on the Extranet page by registering the following fields:
    1. Registration Capture
    2. Farm registration
    3. Year of plantation
    4. Folio number of the Agave Transfer Passport
    5. Number of plants jimada
    6. Weight in kilos
    7. Name of the person entering the agave
    8. Truck license plate number
  14. Once the Passport folio number has been registered, it will be marked as having been entered at a plant, leaving a backup on the TRC server.
    The producer and/or the company will report the data of the harvested plants, and the weight will be taken from the scale card.

REGISTRATION OF AGAVE PROPERTIES AND PRODUCTION

Registration of Agave tequilana Weber blue variety plantations within the territory covered by the Tequila Appellation of Origin.

Users:

Authorized producers or companies with agave.

Document to obtain:

Registration of Agave Estates and Production.

Validity of the document:

Period that the planting cycle lasts.

  1. ARA Plantations Compatibility Report
    1. Check the compatibility report for Jalisco and Guanajuato
    2. If you have any doubts about how to generate it, you can watch the following videos on the official TRC YouTube channel:
  2. Official photo ID: INE or Passport.
  3. Recent proof of address: Electricity, telephone or water bill.
  4. Deeds (if small property) or Parcel Certificate (if ejido).
  5. If you are renting, in addition to the above, you must present the Lease Contract, certified by a Notary Public (Ejidal Commissariat, Síndico or Notary Public for Ejidal land, Municipal Síndico or Notary Public for small properties).
  6. Two telephone numbers.
  7. E-mail address.

FOR THE REGISTRATION OF AGAVE RECEPTION AT THE FACTORIES:

  1. The farmer makes the jima and counts the number of harvested pineapples.
  2. At the time of delivery to the factory, the farmer provides the transfer passport received from a TRC office.
  3. The person in charge of the scale captures the information on the internet (waybill number, number of pineapples, tons, registration, property, producer registration).
  4. The information is sent in real time to the TRC database via the internet.
  5. The database is kept up to date for consultation at the TRC offices in Guadalajara, Arandas, Tequila, Atotonilco, Tepatitlán and Pénjamo.
